A Fine Frenzy
I think Alison Sudol from A Fine Frenzy is just super adorable and down to earth. We recently heard she partnered to have a line of three t-shirt designs created with a portion of sales from each purchase benefiting the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), for which Alison serves as a goodwill ambassador. Watch the videos above to learn more and to hear music from Alison in A Fine Frenzy!
Blue Stone – “Worlds Apart” – featuring Sheyenne Rivers
This entire album is wonderful. The band is Blue Stone the album is Worlds Apart. I think this style of music is so relaxing and mellow. If you have a long car ride I strongly recommend purchasing this album – wonderful!
Band Adiemus- Song Adiemus
Adiemus is an amazing group that has been around for a long time and this song is my favorite from them- I fell in love with this around the age of 12 or 13. Its still a magical song that I can listen to over and over.
Lana Del Rey — Video Games
I just discovered Lana Del Rey and I think she has a beautiful dark sultry voice. She reminds me a bit of Fiona Apple. I am very excited to purchase her album 01/31/12. Until then I recommend checking out her two main videos on you tube Video Games which I added above and Born to Die which I decided not to post as its a bit more graphic still the song is great and my personal favorite from her. Enjoy! xxx
Seane is amazing—period. She is so beautiful and so talented and grounded. I love her free spirited way of life and her amazing take on the world. She is to me a very spiritual being and her yoga videos are wonderful! Be sure to click on the photo below to visit her website and see for yourself what she is all about. xoxo
Yup, movies are a wonderful way to renew your spirit. I am am huge movie buff and really love old or older themed movies. I decided to list one of my all time favorites that are a must see. I will be sure to list more soon. xoxo
I worked in London for 6 weeks during the Fall of 2009′ and it just so happened one of my all time favorite novels was made into a TV series that started right when I had arrived. (yay!) Girls need to know Jane Austen, its just a staple for the “Things to know” about being a girl. I started reading Jane Austen about 6 years ago and wished I had started much sooner. I am addicited to her charming and witty novels and to Jane who was a pretty amazing author. Be sure to check this movie out-and prepare some yummy foods-this is a long movie and worth every second-funny and so wonderfuly addiciting! xoxo
Of course, books are a must! I enjoy far too many books to mention all but below is one I think everyone should read and pairs well with our old era movie Emma and dont forget to read Emma. I will add more soon! xoxo
Jane Eyre by. Charlotte Bronte
This is a classic novel and a wonderful story, dont let the cover fool you, this book is full of suspense and is a bit dark but not in a depressing way. They just made yet another version of this novel into a film that is due out this year. The preview actually looks really good so read the novel before you see the film. I love to listen to books on audio from the library-you would be amazed how quick you can get through a book this way. xoxo
Growing herbs indoors
You do not have to be too adept in gardening to plant a few seeds. There is something truly calming and cool about watching a seed bloom and grow up. I enjoy planting herbs. Its peaceful, relaxing and rewarding. Once they get large enough you can transfer them outside or let them be in their pots.
I think it is important to just let loose sometimes. I love these two musicans I have below. Sarah Brightman has been a role model for me for a very long time, I think she is a wonderful peron to look up to, shes beautiful, talented and very successful and makes opera so delicious! Florence and the Lung Machine–This is just a super fun album that covers all moods, if you are going to let loose and dance these are perfect songs to have fun with. Just get up one morning, turn on some of your favorite music and dance. Who cares what you look like, this is your time alone to just let loose for a few minutes. You will be amazed at how free and happy you will feel-silly? yup but its so worth it. So get up and let loose for a minute or two!

“Youve got the love”
Dolphina is so great-a true goddess. I have always loved belly dancing, its fun, the costumes are a blast and no one cares about body image at all, in fact it is one of the few dance related activities that actually support a healthy figure-really thin girls sometimes have a hard time in this activity because you actually need curves to get your body to move right with this dance.
Dolphina was rescued by dolphins in the wild after a boat wreck! pretty cool. She also does awesome retreats around the world in places like Hawaii and Greece. On these retreats you dance, eat healthy all natural food, you bath under waterfalls and in sacred waters, you swim in the wild with dolphins while you where chic veils and flowy dresses under the ocean. So unique and wonderful, Dolphina does not look a day over 21 and lives her life the same, she’s obviously doing something very right in her life and I will be sure to follow her advice for living the true goddess life!
This retreat looks like a blast! I will be sure to sign up for this. I think surfing is an amazing sport. If you love the water its one of the best workouts in the world-it will kick your butt in a great way.
This retreat is for women only. Here you surf, do yoga, eat healthy foods, do spa treatments, swim and have luxury living in an eco friendly environment. The downside is that this is not a vegetarian retreat which would be awesome but its still vegetarian friendly and very healthy and they use a lot of free range and organic items.
Lovely Loreena, I fell in love with her music after watching the movie Ever after with Drew Barrymore. The song the mummers dance was featured on the commercials with this movie and I would not rest until finding out who that amazing song belonged to. I was only 16 at the time and was hooked for life. Some of my favorite songs are The old ways and All souls night from the cd “the visit” -(which I pasted a video below of), The mummers dance from her album the book of secrets and “The Mystics Dream” from the mask and the mirror.
This music is so empowering and free, anytime i have played this in a public place i always get asked who the artist is and where can they find her. Loreena is truly wonderful.
Okay, I am not really into psychics and not everything in the new age world speaks to me but Denise Linn is a true soul coach. I came across a book of hers called Quest-a guide for creating your own vision quest and could not put it down. She has the ability to help people look deep within to find the answers they need in life.
Im sure many of you remember when “The Secret” became such a huge hit-well Denise basically is the secret in life form. She can tell you how to properly clear the clutter of your life and start over fresh. She does soul coaching, vision quests, feng shui and more.
I heard about David roughly 4 years ago. He is so interesting. David is one of those guys you just want to sit down with for hours to have the opportunity to absorb all of his nutrition knowledge. He specializes in living a Raw life. I’m totally intrigued by this idea and way of living and though i do not follow a raw diet I incorporate parts of it into my everyday life.
I have friends who have changed their entire life based on this guy-in a good way. He is really cool to read more in depth about and if you really want to try something new he does programs where you can become certified as a raw nutritionists. I think this would be a fun program to do for the knowledge alone. What better way to learn how to follow the raw diet.
